What a great idea. This is on my list for next year.
its ok i just found it and now have the complete set I even found that they are best done on felt. i will lay a seperate piece of felt 3/4 of the way up the back before the satin stitch is done to create a small pocket and that way i can add a tree treat for the person who,s initial it is a few small beads hanging from the bottom will ad even more sparkle to the ball thank yoiu again for a wonderfull idea. annie in the uk
print out a template in jpg of the ball. you can then cheat by cutting out a section of felt that will cover 3/4 of the back then use designer tacky or similar and glue the felt onto the back of the ball so makeing a pocket that a candy or small gift can be popped into I actually used sewwhatpro to slit the stitches and re order them so that he letter is actualy the second item to be sewn out then the inner contrast ring is completed i can then remove the hoop and place a pocket onto the back of the ball and the finall outer satin stitch will sew it all in place. but I only did that as hubby is not too good today and needed to sleep so this was a nice way to learn a new technique useing that program.
if you trim the pocket just a little smaler than the actual ball then it will not show at the front.
hope you do not mind me useing your wonderfull design to learn how to do something new, i will put up a photo of the ball down in your manner with glued on pocket and added beads next week as i wil complete over the weekend so they can go into the post along with a card. annie in the UK
