I was embroidering on a dress and the machine malfunctioned or something anyways I ended up with a big thread mess. It jammed the machine up and it put a hole in the fabric. The only thing I can think to do to save it (the dress) is cover it with an applique design. Please can someone/anyone help me find a 1"x1" girlie applique design? Price doesn't matter.

Thank you so much!

Bless your heart - I had the same issue yesterday when i was stitching a t-shirt for a little boy. My machine decided to jam and it caused a hole. I found a small design and added it to the shirt, and just to make it appear that it was supposed to be that way, I added a couple more. Why don't you take a small piece of the fabric and place over the hole and stitch a nice girly design over it? We have some nice ones in the designs by cuties section, and they are free.

the hole is about 1/16" and I don't have a matching fabric to cover it with. I just have to cover the whole 1" area and an applique is the only thing I can think of.

I found a bunch of mini designs at Lynnie Pinnie but they are not applique. But you could use eggyannie's idea and do them on organza with wss.
There are also a lot of applique designs there so take a look, some of the smaller designs might work.

a 1 inch applique can be found in embroidery library.
but how about makeing a design on some organza and wsf and then triming around the organza and glue over the hole. you could make a 3D butterfly if the hole is in an apropriate area simply cut a small oblong from organza and wrap thread around the middle to make wings or do more than one to make it part of the design. when something like this happens its time to think out of the box perhaps a small pocket would also do the trick. why not ribbon bows made from actual ribbon. ? if you would like to try that but not want bulk then try doing the bow this way. make a M shape with the ribbon and then take the two loops up the M and make a knot.. Look one small fast to make bow that just a few stitches will make something really pretty. Hope that will help you out annie in the UK

It is very difficult to explain briefly what the problem is. I was stitching out am initial on the fabric "belt" that goes around the waist of the dress. There is a bow in the middle of the "belt" (the belt is sewed on) I was putting initials on either side of the bow. The only thing I can do is an applique to cover the hole and the partially embroidered initial. I will go to embroidery library and search thank you so much for helping me.
