If only I had more time to decorate it without having to rush, but we are having our family Christmas this Saturday so I'm running out of time to do everything. At least with Ray working days and nights I can stay up later without him getting annoyed with me for not resting.

I love Christmas and can't wait to put up the decorations. :-)

fa la la la la, la la la la.

I can more than imagine it. I've been there! We always loved big, full "doughboy" trees. One year we cut it down ourselves and took the kids with us! It was quite an adventure getting the tree, two kids and my X and I all into a little hatch back. Now that I'm divorced, we use an artificial tree. AND...I drive a full sized Pick-Up...Go Figure!

Funny, I was saying to DH today, that when he was younger and needed more money with a growing family he didn't get any overtime and had to work a second job on weekends to make ends meet.

Now that we are financially comfortable, have no kids at home and he is nearing retirement and we want to slow down, they've got him working days and night and weekends!
Go Figure is right!!!

Meganne honey.....didn't you have any rope to tie it on top? LOL....I remember those days. Now days I have an artificial one. But this year we don't have room for a tree....my husband got a big screen tv.
Merry Christmas Meganne.....I knew you had a little elf in you...0;D

Oh good Heavens, I wouldn't risk scratching my car, I'd rather just have it full of pine needles. LOL!!! At least I don't need a car deodoriser now. :-)
We have two artificial trees but it's just not the same, I needed the smell of Christmas to get me in the mood and the lounge room smells wonderful.

I only had to remove a coffee table, a large ceramic planter and pedestal, and move my ceramic elephant and crystal vase, my sewing caddy, the magazine rack, three cat baskets and 90 year old MIL to get the tree into the room ready to decorate. Once it's trimmed I can put some of the items back into place, including MIL. LOLOL!!!

Imagine how difficult it would be without snow. Come on kiddo, get with the program.
Start making some Christmas stockings and put your tree up you'll soon start to feel "it". You know, the Christmas spirit and if they don't make you feel it, get into the egg nogg, isn't that full of spirits? hehehehe!!!

Barb I know how you feel. It is difficult to celebrate holidays without the loved one but Meg is right. Even if you get a little tree or a wreath. Hugs Angie

Merry Christmas.
We planted our tree in the garden after last Christmas. DH wants to get it out and into the house, I want it to stay where it is. He usually wins. Just wait and see.
