What are the dimensions of a fat quarter please? My minds gone blank.

I expect fat quarter measurements to be
50cm x half the width of the fabric -for metric
18" x half the fabric width for imperil measuresments .
If you are selling these please state the measurements used. I have had to return fabric that was less than the stated size.Now I always measure before I cut fabric in case there has been a mistake made in measuring - usually do it soon as I get home before I forget about it .

45x50 cm so 18x22" :o) *

They should be 18"x 22" or(width of fabric)
