Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy, and do not let anybody tell you are crazy. It is marvelous to still play doll, especially if you have no grandbabies to spoil. LOL. You have a lovely time with your "own present"
Hugs and may God bless you always.
Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Well Maria, if you're crazy, then so am I because I still buy any doll I see that I fall in love with and every morning I give my Salihah Regina a hug, along with my favourite Teddy Bear, Francis and my Sharpei puppy (stuffed but so real looking, I had to have him)

Then of course there is Shirley and Peita and Jessica and.............

I'd better stop or I'll bore everyone to tears.

You enjoy your new baby Maria, it is young at heart people I enjoy making my dolls for the most.

Oh, Meg - these are great. I love them. They would make a nice addition to my collection.

meganne by meganne 24 Dec 2009

Thanks Dlonna,
Yes I love my girls, I have many more that I made and/or bought but nowhere to put them until we move back to my home next year.

I have one that is a "one of a kind", not another one in the whole world, I hand carved her face and she is totally hand painted (ceramic).

No 5 above is the first porcelain I made, also made her outfit and the others (3 & 4) I made everything they are wearing, yes shoes and all.
Yes, I love my girls.
Hugs n Merry Christmas

You are just so talented. I love that #5 and also the first one. I know that Santa is not leaving me a doll this year. LOL

You could be doing worse things! Have fun! The things they make now are so different than when I was a child. I will be 63 the day after Christmas and I can remember my last doll. I was 5 or 6 and I got mad at Mama for something and threw her down and her head cracked. Mama told me that was my last and she meant it! Of course I was a tomboy and would have rather had a baseball and a bat instead of a doll! Merry Christmas to you! Linda

Oh , yes, my cousin & I gave each other Toni home perms in our bangs - and I had a Toni doll... one of the first dolls with wash and comb hair. Seems like yesterday, not 1951(sigh).
