I haven't seen wing needle designs , but I have some from years ago when they came out. I know the wing needle makes a larger hole in fabric, but beyond that, I am lost. please post the site so we can see.

I have some thread velvet files, but haven't done them. When to a Sue Hauserman conference & she showed us about them. They are lots of stitches & take some practice to do...but are beautiful.

gerryb, thanks for your comment. I,m afraid that's what I would do, get them and then not use them much. I was thinking I wanted to try something different. Are they anything like fringe designs?

designcrazy, what a great thing to have a shopping spree - I love the windneedle or thread art tapestry designs - but that thread velvet is out of this world - if you have a hoop large enough to use those designs on - that is so elegant and useful for decorating the house - I love those designs. Good luck - the way to go - however is to buy something that you will use over and over again - to get more for your money. *4U
