Deanna, I put my block in the mail today, 1-7-10. You should have it in a couple days. I stitched it out again, as I was not happy with the first one. This one came out much better, I loosened the tension. H&*.
Deanna, my block was mailed today, Jan5, from Portugal. Sent you a pm
SUGGESTION ~~ Deanna has kindly and lovingly offered to take on this project...it was suggested previously and I agree... we ALL send $2.00 with our design to help with supplies and materials.
What do you ALL think?
That or more, it takes money for batting, backing, sashing & quilting, thread, needles etc. There is a lot involved here. Plus postage sending the end result. Lillian *
I agree with this idea. There is much more involved then just the quilt blocks. H&*.
I am in agreement, Batting here can be up to 19.99 a metre, material 12-15 dollars a metre, thread 5-6 a spool. Will send with block. Thanks Deanna Hugs Lisa
Would be good if we had a Paypal a/c we could send money to as well.
Banks charge too much to purchase US dollars to send and if we send Aussie dollars Deanna would be burdened with the bank fee to exchange them, besides that, the exchange rate could change drastically and it would make the Aussie money worth far less than when we sent it.
It is currently quite high at 92USc for every Aussie dollar.
I did send some US stamps I had here from my last trip, but I feel this is a piddling contribution.
HNR, Meganne
I asked at my post office for a $5 stamp to send, thought Deanna may be able to cash it in for money....silly me. He said post offices sell stamps not buy them back...so unfortunatley I could not send anything to her...would not like to actually put money in a letter...yes a PayPal a/c would work for most of us I imagine...
I think Meganne's suggestion of Paypal a/c is avery good one as it is not possible to send money in post from our part of the world.
If Deanna has a pay pal account of any kind - you could send her money via that - but there will be a charge - no matter what you do - when she tries to with draw the money or transfer it to her bank account. One way or the other there will be a fee involved - whether it is for pay pal or through the bank for conversion. Just something to consider.
Well, Pauline and I just got around this and purchased an electronic gift certificate from AnnaBove. It was so easy, they accept payment by Paypal or credit card and I'm sure there must be something Deanna could buy from AB, at least I hope so.

This for Shirlene,
Paypal fees for drawing the money is less than 2.5%, which is so low it is totalled in cents, e.g. for $20 it costs 5 cents, whereas the banks here in Aus want $15.00 fee for drawing a cheque in another currency.
I recently paid $59 to purchase 5yds of material worth $22.50, most of this was Bank fees, postage fees to send the cheque etc., if the lady had had Paypal it would have cost me only $30, even paying her Paypal fees. Paypal is the cheapest and one of the safest ways to send money to anyone, practically anywhere in the world, and the biggest advantage, it is almost instant.
That is why it has grown so quickly to be a major force in online trading.
I would be totally lost without my PayPal account as Ray and I purchase so much from the States we reckon we are keeping your economy afloat. Truly, just ask Pauline. LOL!!!
