They are adorable. Would you mind if I used your directions to make some for my grandkids? I love this idea.
thank you, you are more than welcome to use the instructions. I hope they made sense.
These are very cute! I made 12 hats for the family for chirstmas
Great hats, I love the penquin. I wondered if you could tell me what type of needle and backing you used for the embroidery.. I am breaking a lot of needles with fleece. Thanks Debbi
Thanks, I used 80/12 ball point Organ brand needle. I used the poly/mesh stabilizer.
Adorable, where did you get the pattern?
Thanks, I tried different ones and came up with the instructions above. Some patterns had too many extra steps so I condensed it down.
Adorable, where did you get the pattern?
I experimented til I found what would work for mass production. It is 18" tall x 20"(for a head that measures 20") I measured up from the bottom 6 1/2" for the center of the design. I embroidered the design. Then cut from the top down 4" making a cut every 1/2" to make the fringe. I sewed a 1/2" seam from the bottom up to where the fringe starts, this made a tube. Then I measured 4 1/2" from the bottom to make the band then sewed the band. I know my instructions aren't really great but they worked for me.
I bought the material to make some for my daughter and I havent had the guts to actually start to even cut the material but Yours Are Great . Nice Job
Very cute idea!!!
Thank you. It is cold here so I knew they would get lots of wear out of them.
These r adorable. Would love to see a pic with them all wearing them. *
Thanks, We tried doing a group picture at Thanksgiving. Wow that was a sight! Not all 16 were happy at the same time.
They are blest very richly with so many grandchildren. A very great work & happy granny!!!
Very pretty hats! You've been busy.
Thank you, I had to deliver 10 of them before Christmas so I sewed them in one evening-nothing like putting it off til the last moment.
Very nice, I did only two of them, but one was too small...OOOOOOOOOps.LOL. Your are prettier!!!***
Thanks, I had to have the moms take head measurements so I'm glad they all fit.
These are so cute! Your grandkids will look adorable in them!
