FSL is freestanding lace - made in the hoop - with a FSL design made especially for this sort of embroidery - you use WSS 'water soluable stabilizer' (the mesh fabric sort, not the plastic look)- the same embroidery thread in the top and in the bobbin. When you rinse the WSS out of the design, all that is left is the LACE that you just created.
See you got your answer, will just leave a * 4u
WELCOME TO "CUTE"
Free Standing Lace. U embroider on WSS only same thread top & in bobbin. Wet the Wss & all u have left is the Lace or lacy item u have just made. *
Thanks but now you give another one, WSS.
I do not know what WSS means.
I am totally new to embroidery.
Thanks. again.

The stabilizer just desolves away when wet. Water sol. stabilizer. Several forms..one almost like a plastic wrap, another is like a fabric. The plastic excess pulls away easily, BUT you need the support of the fabric kind if you are doing fsl...or several layers of the other.
Thanks all.
I get it. I do have the water soluble stabilizer or WSS, film type.
Have a good nite.
