Just couldn't resist this new font from cute alphabets.com the Old Pattern. doing a set of towels for myself. don't u think the font is beautiful? 22,000 + stitches but it is really worth the time to stitch out.

Lillian, this turned out perfect! It is an elegant font. I was going to put the other embossed B on a towel for my Bebe but I backed out. She does not have very long left. She has been so sick today. She sleeps most of the time now. I am hoping she has a better day tomorrow. She wanders around looking for me when she gets out of her doggie sofa bed. She has had cancer for 4 yrs and it has just in the last couple of months started taking it's toll on her small little body. She does not seem to be hurting unless I try to pick her up. The tumors on her tummy do hurt then. When I have to pick her up, I now roll her over on her back on a towel and pick her up in the towel with my hands to her back. She is fine with that and does love all the attention she can get. I am sure it is just a matter of a week or so before I will have to take her to the Vet and have her...I can't say it! I 'm sorry. Hugs, Linda

Linda I'm so sorry. My daughter had to deal with this same thing & her Scottie was 17 yrs. old. Daughter was never able to have a child & that is what Sassie was, her child. Just a couple of mos. ago & she is still grieving. Her DH had to handle everything for her. *

Love the font and the towel - you did a really good job of it. I haven't had a lot of success with Embossed towels - could you tell me what you did to get this beaut looking towel.

Yvonne I used a med. wt. cut away stabilizer in back & on top I used a clear sulky WSS stabilizer. Stabilizer was put in hoop/ towel basted in place on top of the stabilizer. YLI bobbin thread, Radient 100% polyester blue thread. Machine was set at a slow speed. Takes about 70 mins per design, over 22,000 stitches. Not a single broken thread, but had to replace bobbin once with ea. towel.*

This looks beautiful. I am collecting this alpha myself and can't wait until they get to the H. What type of stabilizer did you use on the top?

Very nice, the B will work for me, our last name also begins with B. Do you think it would be just as pretty using another color? My bathroom isn't blue.

It's lovely, Lilian. I did the C from CuteEmbroidery for my sister, which turned out just as nice. I might have a go at my own towels as well. Isn't it great to do a set for yourself once in a while?
