I would think many of the designs on this cd are illegal. It's one of those too good to be true things. If I'm going to invest that kind of money, I'd rather choose a digitizer I know to do good work and get designs I want and know I will use and in case there are any issues with a design. The legit digitizers go out of their way to help their customers and these guys seem to be in it just for money. I doubt they'd have much in the way of customer service on their "bargain" designs.

I purchased it - back when I was very new to ME and thought it would just be great to have SO many designs to work with (and did not know about all the other things available yet). Some of them are really nice and some of them are not so nice. You also get multiples of the same design - so look at them in a sew simulator first to pick the "best" and always test stitch before putting on something "good" (just in case). Some could be illegal - don't know for sure. I did not try to get my money back so can't speak to that experience. I got enough nice things out of it that I am not unhappy with my purchase.

I do not like the idea of paying good money for a design that I can not see ahead of time. My money is too hrd come by to just throw it away on something I have not seen or tried. The quality would be the main deal breaker here but customer should have an option of being able to try at least one design of their choosing so they can decide if it is worth the money. I have purchased several sets off of one site that we all go to daily which are reasonable but have had some very lousy sew-outs on a few of them. This is a site that we all know and collect free designs off of daily(several times a day). Yes, they do have some really nice designs but alot are not up to par. This site would also return or fix a problem but since the designs are so nicely priced, I feel sure that they do not get alot of complaints except from the few people that complain about everything. I would hate to loose $49.00 to 69.00 on designs that I would not use. I do have a very large collection of various designs that I purchased when I had my craft store that have never been used but I was in business and trying to keep enough variety to please anyone that wanted a certain design. I also had a regular paying job at the time besides the Craft Store so I did have some extra cash on hand to spend a bit freely. I can no longer work so I have too be very careful what I spend now!

Since I brought this up, I would like to ask a question. I have Singer memory cards plus Babylock Memory Cards along with thousands of designs that were purchased on CD's. How can I convert the Memory Cards to a CD? My newest Babylock will actually let you insert a Memory card or a CD to get a design. I called the Guy who owns the business that I bought the 2 Babylocks from several weeks ago and asked him what to do and was told that he would get back to me. I gave him my email addy but have not heard a thing from him. He is the Money behind the business but has many employees that actually do the work. I have no outlet on the machines to use a USB stick. One of the other members came up with an idea but we have not found out how to use it either. I have thought about selling my Singer but do not want to lose the designs. They were very expensive back when I HAD to buy the cards to fit the machine. There is one that has beautiful cats and dogs on it and it was almost $200.00 just for the one Singer Card plus many more.
I would appreciate any info available for converting to CD's.

There is an adapter out there by "Digital" it is called the " 6 slots 51-in-one card reader" you can buy it at Radio Shack. Insert your old cards into it and then the cord into your computer and download the designs off of it to your computer then burn them to a CD!!! the one I have works with all of the cards and SDs and even SIMS out there!

I did some more research, the legality of what they are selling and copyrights are in question. You can be prosecuted for using designs that you purchase if you don't have the rights.

This website offers a 100% money back guarantee, but they don't stand by it, and your credit card company can't dispute the charge, so stay away from it unless you see something that you can't live without. Most of the designs aren't what I would use, so when I asked for a refund, they wouldn't give it to me.

Sandy, the site is a new one, apparently, since my McAfee doesn't have any rating for it. Personally, I wouldn't pay $49 for designs I couldn't see before I purchase. They have a list of categories, but how do you know what the designs are, or if you would actually use any of them? I'd go with Sandy's suggestion below. If you're going to spend money on designs, get ones you know from websites you're sure of. Embroidery Library is also having a sale, as are a lot of the designers on Oregon Patchworks. I guess I'm just not much for 'grab bags'--I'd rather pay for something I can see, designers I know sew out well. I don't know if these folks are legit or not, but I've seen too many 'incredible bargains' like this where people collect freebies off the web and put them on a cd to sell them, especially on e-bay. I'd be cautious till they prove themselves. Hugs, Marji

Hey Sandy. I've seen this site before, but this type of design is not really what I use so i never got into it. however, Embroidery RN has Thousands of designs for free as well as thousands more archived. the archived designs have no support docs with them, but they're yours for free none the less. Just before xmas I bought 2,500 designs from Tuckers Treasures for $15. And another 1,800 from a site for free...sadly that site escapes me right now, but I'll get it to you. Right now (If it hasn't expired yet, Misty Mountain has every set on sale for $1.00. Julia's needle just had her whole site on sale for $1 a set also. Just have to keep your eyes open. Sweet Embroidery has a membership for $15 a year(I think) and something like 6,000 designs. And embroideryDK has something about the same. So you can get just as many, only downloading the ones you like, for much cheaper than $49.00. I'll keep my eye open for you. ....... Sandy

I've just made a purchase at Misty Mountain and the design sets are .99 each. The site says that that sale ended Jan 5th, but mine still rang up at the sale price, and the site is still showing .99 on each set.

Misty Mountain's sale ends tonight at 1201 am est time. The e-mail is dated today Friday Jan 08/10 at 849 am so you still have some time. I got mine last night it's a great bargain. I have not stitched out any of her designs yet but the photgraphs of them stitched out which are posted on the site look great. A really good thing about her designs is you almost allways get them in all hoop sizes.

I do not have experience with this site. But if something is too good to be true you should be careful especially with illegal licensed products.
