Chris, I see you are thinking of using the endless hoop. Do you realise you can only embroider just along the outside edge of a project with this one, great for borders, but not for a design you want to embroider in the middle of a piece of material - and it's only 100 x 170. I would split the design in parts that fit my largest hoop (360 x 150 in my case) so you have the minimum number of parts - and thus the minimum amount of rehooping.

Thanks for the information Martine. No, I didn't know you can only do an edging on the endless hoop! Bummer!

I've found out from Amy anyway that she doesn't want a map of Africa.

I tried doing some readjustments yesterday and it was just too big a job - so gave up, glad I didn't do it as Amy doesn't want it.

Oh - I have thought about trying a larger hoop for my Mother's machine - could you stitch it out - at your sewing center on their large hoop. They might let you - if it means a sale later on.

Goo idea 99! Tubby and I thought of that too!

Great minds think alike!

This design has 161,000 plus stitches! I think it would take about 3 hours! I'll have a chat with Kathy on Monday and see what she suggests. Thanks for comenting. Love and blessings Chris

Thanks girls for your help. I've bought the design and downloaded it and used the EMB VIEW to change it over to the HUS format. It is huge and I don't have a hoop that large - so I'm going to have to see if I can buy an extra wide hoop - the length is no trouble but I need something wider than 8 inches. Even diminishing the design it's still too big.

I have all of these hoops 100x100,(4x4) 150 x 150, (6x6) 180x130,(5x7) 280x170,(7x11) 150x360 (6x14) and the Endless Hoop - I may be able to use that, but I'm not confident with that one yet - haven't used it. I don't even know if there is a wider hoop than the above for the Husqvarna machines.

Never mind - I'll try and work something out. Flowers for you all!

Which machine do you have? There are larger hoops, but they do not work on the SE, just the Diamond. - You may be able to split the design - you are great with the embroidery, and I bet you can do it.

Thanks "dlonna" - Tubby has just rung me and we spoke for about 20 mins - we came to the same conclusion - I may have to split the design. I have the endless hoop and I could do it on that - as I said I'm a bit tentative about using it and hope that it will stop at exactly the right place to begin the next section.

We both agreed I'd ring Kathy from our Husqvarna shop here in Newcastle and have a chat to her about it. I wish I could use a larger hoop I'm annoyed I can't, but hey splitting the design maybe the only way to do it. Thanks for the compliment.

If it comes in exp and your machine uses exp can't you get the exp version. What version do you need. I also have a viking SE. Private message me and I can convert to what you need.
