You got your answer. Just wanted to add that machine embroidery really looks great on it. I've done pictures and bookmarks with it.
Dr. Phil used it on toilet paper? Please explain further, I'm intrigued.;)
Felt is originally made from wool; not woven, but by heat, friction and pressure the material is made to hang together - the result is a bit like what happens when a woolen sweater gets into the washing machine on a hot cycle.
Nowadays it's made from other fibres as well. It makes a great material for all sorts of crafts.
Sigrun, Felt is a material that is very thick but soft. You can usually buy it in 9X12 squares or by the yard, at most material or craft shops. It comes in basic colors and does not need hemming, it does not unravel. I used felt for my Snowflake Ornaments and pinked the edges, they looked great! Hope this helps you. Judy
