Why are you looking for a new machine? Are you unhappy with it or do you want certain new features? may be you just need new soft ware. I actually gave my daughter a really nice Bernina sewing machine because I felt the trade in allowance was too low. If I could just get her to use it. Maybe there is hope for the granddaughters!!
I want a machine with a bigger embroidery field, at least 6x10. Yes positive vibes sent to the grands!
wish I could help psssst but that is one machine I know nothing about. *
Keeping your old machine may be your best bet. If one is in for service you have a backup and I have found I can get a lot done running two machines.I also have separate sewing machine but love FSL and that can tie up a machine for quite a long time.
I do not want to keep it, it will just get older and have even less value. If nothing else maybe I should buy 2 new machines, one being embroidery only hmmmmmm
I kept my SE when I got the Diamond. I find I do run both machines at the same time! Emb. on one and sew on the other. Just a thought. I, too, was not going to get much for my machine. I can reset my time on my machines, HOWEVER, the repairman can find the total time sewing or emb. But we don't have that kind of ability since it's a computer...which is probably good!! I am seeing more and more complaints about dealers and companies. Afraid too many are getting too selfish and also am seeing the quality of the machines going down. What a shame.
I know it is a difficult time in the economy, but that dealer needs to think in the future. I am a return customer and it stands to reason I will return again. Not after all of this I am afraid. I have been pricing Brothers and Babylocks now. I have a sewing machine so I do not need to keep the Pfaff.
My ex-Janmoe dealer is arrogant and unhelpful. I love my Janomes but will not go back to them. I bought 4 machines from them but I guess that wasn't good enough for them.
I own a Pfaaf Creative Vision and in my menu I can see howmany hours the machine worked. And I'm nore lucky with my dealer. I used to have a Pfaff 2134 for 2 years and when I told him that I'm interested in the Pfaaf Creatice Vision he took back the 2134 dor the same price as I have bought it for.
Lucky you! Maybe he has more sales in your area than mine has here who knows? My machine is 2 yrs old so I guess it also depends on how long you have had it.
I don't know about Pfaff, but in the brother machine i have you can see in the menu the total numbers of stitches the machine mad.
Isn't there another dealer in the neighbourhood?
No this dealer is an hour away the next one is over 3 hrs away. Not too sure I will be buying another Pfaff at this time either!
pfaff is taken over and is not the same as before so take care what you buy. Greetings Yvonne
I have a bernina an i was told I used my machine to much an the warrenty was off.I have 12 great grand children and its baby Quilts an stuff for them.I guess you should not sew to much,
