I know how to handle it. I never ever in my wildest thoughts ever figured this would happen to him. He is strong and athletic, but does suffer from high blood pressure - now diabetes, too. I had to come home - they wouldn't allow me to stay at the hospital - he may have to have a brain operation, in the morning. It is 3:21 AM Thursday February 3rd.

I've just come on here today as I was so busy with Mum and Dad yesterday.

I am so sorry to read about Rick. I pray that the doctors looking after him will have God's healing hands working through them.

Make sure you too get plenty of rest. You will be given lots of advice on how to help Rick recuperate once he comes home and so I also pray for a complete recovery from the Paralysis. Modern medicine has come a long way and I know with lots of love and care Rick will heal. As you say he is strong and athletic and let's pray that having this on his side will help him heal a bit quicker.

I am surprised they wouldn't let you stay with him. Usually they let you have a bed close by. Never mind, I am sure you are there today and watching over him.

My Nan had a stroke and she was paralyzed down the right side also they said she wouldn't talk and she did and they said she wouldn't live much longer and she did for many years more when they only gave her 3 weeks tops and they said she wouldn't walk and she did.
