BFC creations have a font called bamboo which looks similar to the NY on their tops if that helps at all.
OK, being an (ignorant of US Sports) Aussie, I just looked up the Yankees website and thought you must have wanted to know what font is used for the "NY" on the front of their shirts????
That is a LOGO, which means there is no such font, they have had just THOSE TWO letters especially created for use as a logo.
Sorry I should have said it in this manner before so that you would understand me better.
Now if you want the other (italic script) font, where they spell out "New York Yankees", that one is Trademark Registered.
Go to their Website from the link I gave you, look at the top of the page and you will see text in a light shade of grey. Is that the one you want?
If it is, I know I have one similar, will just have to do the comparison search through my 4,500 fonts. :-)
Let me know so I can search for it after dinner tonight for you.

Bella Mia design 85108 is a baseball yankee design. I just can not find out where I bought it. It is a baseball with yankees bat and a patriotic hat. It is the old logo not the new one.
What you are looking for is the LICENSED Logo of the NY Yankees and therefore it belongs to them. It is not a font.
The closest thing you will get to it is a font called SULTAN
If you have media credentials, you can go to the official Yankee website and click onto media and I believe you can apply for permission to use it, but you need to be a member of the media and using it in relation to the NY Yankees.
Another similar font is StoryBook, which is a free font.
Please note these are NOT embroidery designs, they are true Type Fonts and they will need to be digitised INTO embroidery designs for you to use them.
I hope this clarifies things for you.

meganne, thank you. I am not looking for a logo or the Yankee etc, etc,. I am looking for the font the Yankees is in. I have local schools wanting their school names on their jackets in a font like the Yankees font. Does any of this make sense. Thanks for your info and also to all others who have tried to help. Much appreciation.
This I am not sure of, have you checked the fonts that came with your machine? What size are you looking for? H&*
My largest hoop stitch area is 8x10. I need to digitize a school name for some jackets. We will be sending the digitized file to a large company who will in turn make the jackets for us. I have a 4 needle Janome and a digitizing program.
I do have a lot of fonts in my program plus, Panto Stock, Stitchitize, Balboa, Martha Pullen, all of cute embroidery fonts, plus others. I just can't seem to find one just like the YANKEES font.
