design is "too big" for my format. I am converting PES to JEF and the design was only 3.25 in by 3.5 in well within the limits of even the smaller 4 x 4 hoop. I looked for something to let me chose the larger hoop size and did not find anything. Thanks for any help you can give. Becky

I have had only one design do that to me. The size was not the problem, it was for some reason only known to the program it didn't like the stitch count! It was a 4x4 design that had over 45k stitches and I could not get it into my machine. Too bad it was a very cute design lol.

I get that error too but then you can convert them to a SEW and it will work that way. Jef and SEW will work for your machine, if its Jef. Hope this helps cause I love the wilcom program. and sure you will love it too.

I didn't know I could use SEW on my machine too. I knew Customizer would "see" the design as in show me the picture but I didn't know I could use the SEW designs on my machine.

when you use the customizer it will show up and when you use the easy edit you just put in design.jef and it will auto it to a jef file but you can also keep it to a sew file. I use them and I have a janome 350E. hope this helps for you.

Make sure the design is centred in the hoop, then if you still get the message, ignore it.

Even Embird gives this message sometimes and I know darn well the design will fit, so it is usually that it hasn't centred.
Hugs n roses, Meganne.

I will try the centering. I can't ignore it won't save in JEF if the design is too large.

Thanks Meganne, once again you have come to the rescue. The centering worked.

Yes, I use Wilcom all the time...after clicking 'save as' (your format)...a new screen should appear asking what size in mm you want to save it in. Click on the correct mm and click save.
That should do it...Check again and see if it comes up for you to choose.

I remember I have gotten the second pop up asking for size but not on the last ones I have done. I am trying to down load the newer version as my is from 2006 but my email has a "-" in it and their system tells me invalid email. I even emailed them about it and they responded to my email telling me their system couldn't accept k-b and to choose another email address.
