Dear Friends from every where
I am sending this from Brigham & Women's Hospital where Kathy had surgery today to remove approx. 1/3 of her right lung. I have visited with her a several times in the Critical Care section of the post-op area where she is being held and monitored for perhaps the rest of today. She also is getting as much sleep as possible today. .
She is naturally groggy and still under heavy medication following the 3 and a half hour surgery, but in good spirits and breathing well. The nodule that was removed will be analyzed, but final results are not expected for a few months. She will probably be in the hospital until this coming Saturday.
Kathy wanted me to thank all of you who have sent such warm messages, prayers and rays of white light. It all helps, and we appreciate each and every one of you.
Gordon (for Kathy)
