Congratulations on finding a great deal. Enjoy that new machine.
Awesome! I love Brother and Baby Lock...wouldn't own anything else. Congrats!
Congratulations on getting a machine that I believe u will enjoy. *
Great Day for you, good luck maybe you can seel the old machine on Ebay and pay for your new one. Have fun and learn your new machine. Sara
TY! I want to sell it on ebay just not sure how to do it, I have never sold anything on ebay.
It looks great Pssst! I'm so happy for you! Congratulations on your purchase!
Congratulations on your purchase. I'm sure that you will love your Brother machine. I have 2 Brother emb. machines, and I love them both.
Glad you got "good" machine ! Brother embroidery machines are great. I started out with a PE-100 back in 1994 and have upgraded from a ULT2001, to a 2500D and now to a PR650. Wished I had been able to keep the ULT...they are fantastic!
Happy stitchin'
When people talk about what machines they have and like the Brother machines are allways on the top of the list. I am sure you will be happy with your new baby. Because of its unique Disney designs you may want to keep that machine even if you do get an upgrade at some point in the future. One can never have too many sewing machines. We will all be waiting to see your new creations in the projects zone.
I presume the Pfaff problem was with the dealer not the machine itself. I have not seen your previous posts and so do not know the whole story. I have a Pfaff sewing machine from 1979 and love it to death, but I know nothing about the modern ones.
TY for your comment, and yes my problem with the Pfaff was the dealership not the machine. I am so anxious to start playing with my new machine, unfortunately I am very busy right now and don't have time to sit down and play.
Nice! I have a ULT2003D. Love the Disney!
Oh sewmom please tell me I did get a good deal! I am so worried I have been tricked, and I guess I need some reassurance,
As far as I can tell you got a great deal at 1/2 price! Because it is a 2002, you may hear about capabilities of other machines that ours don't have. (I say "ours" but I don't really know how much difference there is between mine and yours.) I don't have a usb port, I can't hook my machine directly to my computer. I use a floppy or the blank card that came with the PE design that I have. That's how I transfer designs to the machine from the computer. (The PE design also has many fonts to use.)
Besides the embroidery it is an excellent sewing machine too which is important because I do a lot of sewing.
I think one of the most important things is dealer support. Did you get classes, a warranty? I noticed the warranty in your ad is different depending on the country you live in.
I'll tell you the one thing that bothers me, the built in fonts. Parts of them are great but parts are odd. For example there is a lower case "r" that looks like a "t". I was doing designs with lots of little writing and it would drive me crazy because there were some letters I just couldn't use. But, that's one of the reasons I started looking online for fonts and found Cute. So, it's a happy story!
I have made many gifts that I put together right on the touch screen. I put words and accents with the Disney designs and they turn out beautiful.
I kept my old Sears Kenmore (1980ish) for a very long time as a back up machine in case this one was in the shop. I took it out a while ago and tried to use it but I'm too spoiled so I sold it at a garage sale. Now, if I'm desperate I'll borrow my sister's machine. It's not an embroidery machine but it's newer and sews smoothly.
I think you will enjoy your new machine. Be sure to try out a lot of the capabilities as soon as possible while it's under warranty. Not because you would expect anything to be wrong but I think you should do that with any new electronic product. Have fun!
Yes I got a warranty and a guarantee from the dealer that if I want to upgrade in a years time I can get my full purchase price back. I will be going in to learn the actual machine but I passed on the classes, I don't have time for them and I already do know how to embroider. That was part of the price reduction, I will not be getting any perks, and if I need something I have to pay hrly for it which is fine with me.
