I was going to tell you to empty your recycle bin (trash), get rid of those temporary files, and if you have a PC, then I would definitely defragment it. I would also empty the cache.

Do you know how to defragment? Which "windows" do you have?

If you need more specific directions let us know. It is no nuisance. If you don't ask for help, you just don't get the help you need, and if you don't ask a question, you won't get the answer.

Can I ask you something? How large is your hard drive, and how much free space do you have?

I would also advice you to back up everything in your computer. Specially pictures, embroidery, and any documents you might not want to loose.

Let us know if you need more help. I hope something works. ;)

I have Windows XP. Total size of harddrive 74.5GB and free space 32.3GB. Recycle bin is empty, same for nternet temp files. I did defragment about 3 weeks ago. I did a search for temp files and it came up with 8998. One file is 33,186 KB and then it comes down to under 100KB and a lot of 0KB. I tried to delete it in the temp file but it would not do it. I want to know if those files are needed and if not where do I delete it. My laptop is 2 years old.

the temporary files are written on your pc if you make any download or connection with the internet. Many of them are not wanted. You saved what you wanted in files, so delete the temporay and after that empty you paperbasket( is usually seen at the desktop)
In german we have the word "defragmentieren" - try to find what it is in english. This you should also do to make the pc faster. It takes time but shrinks the time to search for files are loose hanging around on the pc where they found place. Good is also to search for help at google for the "pc cleaner" or type "optimize" at google, there is a freeware download from windows.
Take care not to give your e-mail, than it could be not free! Good luck
