I bought the worst one a couple of years ago -it wouldn't turn off! I took it back to the shop very quickly indeed! It was way more enthusiastic than I was :)
hahahahahahaha!!! Oh you poor thing, that must have been just AWFUL!!! I hope the shop realised what a terribly traumatic experience this was for you, you deserved compensation for enduring cruelty beyond measure!!!
Laughing with you. What a hoot to have such friends, Hugs n roses, Meganne
Glad you had a pleasant day :)
someone wrote: a woman's job is never done so why start, but I understood you do have to start now Ray terurned the vacuum LOL
congratulations
Yes and the blasted new ironed worked really well too. Darn!!!! LOLOLOLOL!!!!!
You have a wonderful sense of humour Meg and a joie de vivre (joy of living).
I'm fortunate too, Trevor does the vacuuming for me!
God bless you and Ray and may you have continued happiness and health.
Love and blessings Chris
Lucky girl, but I must admit Ray also vacuums and washes the floors for me when I have let them slide for a while.
The after effects of surgery on my bad knees, that thrice broken right hand and chronic Arthritis in my lower spine sometimes stops me doing all the things I once used to.
But at other times the guilt makes me at least 'try' to do it all, but not very often. LOLOLOLOL!!!
Hugs and roses, M
Meganne you make me laugh, sadly you live too far away to loan you a vacum cleaner. Maybe you could set up a new brand of non functioning vacum cleaners or all kitchen equipment (well not washing machines or dishwashers I like them very much)
What lovely thoughts and life lessons! Happiness and joy are our choices, aren't they?
Love you,
Jacqueline
A few yrs ago my vac decided to not shut off, had to unplug to stop it from vaccing, it finally died, decided to replace motor, we bring it in the lady asked our name, come to find out it was still under warrenty LOL
playing games with it for about 2yrs and a warrenty that covered it free of charge LOL
We were so happy!!! really didn't have money to purchase a new one at the time, so guess the sun was shining on us this day :)
Well Blow me down! Ray took the vacuum back to the store and they replaced it with another one, and I thinks it's hardly likely this one won't work, so I guess I don't get out of doing the vacuuming after all!!!! LOLOLOLOL!!!!
Oh well, at least I don't have to cook dinner tonight, Ray's cooking another Bar-B-Q.
Hope you all got a giggle out of my silly sense of humour. :-)
Hugs n roses, Meg
I have hardwood floors throughout the house, and a vac you are welcome to have mine.
A wonderful philosophy u have dear Meg. Hang on to the vacuum it's priceless. I've been using the same Hoover for yrs. Daughter has a Dyson & keeps telling me I need one so I keep telling her when she buys me one I'll have it. LOL Ain't Life Grand when u r having fun! *
I can't justify a new Dyson as my other vacuum was sooooooo expensive and it works like a dream, see answer to KttyHwk4.
Suggestions welcome. hehehehehe!
Wow, did you find that vacuum cleaner in Australia? In Japan is a fever for that, as it does all the work by itself, you leave the house in the morning and when you come back it's all cleaned, it's a dream come true!
You are right, you have to conquer happiness, it doesn't come to you if you just wait with your arms crossed.
Congratulations again for your anniversary and for your new vacuum cleaner! :)
Love, Yoriko
Actually Sweetie, I was being funny.
This isn't one of those automatic ones, it is just an ordinary turbo vacuum, that is broken! The start switch won't engage, which means it won't stay turned on so I can use it. I thought that was the biggest joke ever, if it doesn't work I don't have to vacuum.
But Ray took it back to the shop and they replaced it, so I guess I don't get out of vacuuming that easily. hahahahahaha!!!
Shopping for vacuum cleaners is a chore! My old one literally burned up the week before Christmas. So yes, we were also shopping- was not fun. Ended up with a Dyson bagless model and love it so far. Because of Sears shop comparison deal we got a good deal on it.
My DH loves to vacuum. Give him anything with a motor and you don't stand a chance to get it back. Although he never touches my sewing machines or irons. But for the last 30 years I have had the chance to use the vacuum about 10 times. Life is great!
Meg, you're a hoot. Daughter just returned mine...want to borrow it?
Nah, think I'll pass thanks Karen.
I do have two others but can't find one that doesn't cause me some sort of problem.
I love my water vacuum but it is too heavy for me to empty it. I love the efficiency of my great electric turbo head, barrel vacuum but it costs a fortune in special anti allergy bags and If I try and scrimp by emptying the bag.... well I'm allergic to dust mites.
We bought this new one because it is Cyclonic, like a Dyson, is bagless technology, has lots of washable filters, was 1/8th the cost of a Dyson and is much smaller than the others I have.
I always get a terrible back ache when I vacuum.
Maybe I'm just allergic to vacuuming!!! LOLOLOL
Maybe I should just learn how to turn off my guilt feelings and let Ray do it for me, but, Oh dang! He works such long hours, it doesn't seem right. hmmmm!
heheheheheehe!
Yes you are right - the decision in the mind will go the longest distance on earth: the way from the head to the heart. It's the secret of happy people, The Lord helps to transporting this decision this long way.
All the best for you, wise words!
Blessings from cold Germany

What a perfect gift! You are so right about deciding to be happy. It seems so easy once you accomplish it.
I'm discovering more, every day, how much wisdom there is in that saying:
"When life hands you lemons, make lemonade", or is it Tequila? Either will do, But life definitely is too short to be taken so seriously.
Hugs and roses, Meg
Hey, mine is almost as good as yours. It stays on fine, DH uses it quite frequently. Due to back and knee pain I never vacuum. He enjoys it so more power to him. Now if I could just find a broom that didn't work I'd be great.
Oh my broom doesn't work, the head keeps falling off and Dh hasn't had time to fix it yet and of course I couldn't possibly drill a hole and put a screw through because the battery on my Drill is flat!!!
hahahahahaha!!!
You are a hoot. I might try knocking the head off my broom when DH isn't looking.
I'm jealous! I want one like that. I HATE vacuuming.
Oh me too, my most despised chores are vacuuming and ironing, especially in Summer!
In winter I despise hand washing all those woolen jumpers and cardigans!!!
I don't know! there's always SOMETHING!!!
hahahahahahahaha!
