What design format are you downloading, and what program do you use to view or edit/convert your embroidery files? I believe the file extension on the embroidery file is the same as an extension recognized by Autocad. Your computer, being a dumb machine, chose Autocad as the default program to open these files. I had this problem with .exp files being assigned to a Memorex program, that creates CD labels.
There are a few things you can try. First open the program you use to edit your embroidery files. Click on file/open. Then at the bottom of the dialog box, where it says "files of type", click the down arrow and select all files. Locate the design and see if it will open.
Let me know if this works. If so, I'll take you to the next step.
Welcome to the "Cute" family.
Not sure, but when you are downloading can you check to see if you click the drop down menu and change it there?
Also can you give us an url to where this is happening, so someone else can try?
sorry I cannot help you, never seen or heard from AutoCAD file. but you're question is back to top now, perhaps someone else knows?
