Cut as you go .Why -if you use black or another dark colour & then sew over it using white or another pale colour , the whole design could be ruined by a dark line going through it because it could be impossible to remove it after the design is finished . All that thread ,time & effort down the drain . I'm still using the pair of curved end scissors that came with my Janome 8000 to clip the threads
I agree, if you wait and stitch over them they are harder to clip.
The World's Foremost Authorities (CUTIES) agree! Cut as you go. I agree :) Welcome to Cute!
I too cut as i go with a sharpe ,bent pair of scissors the bend in the scissors helps you get close up & if your fast & watching the machine sew you can cut without stopping the machine.I have a long pair i bought at singers & they are really neat Carolyn
I clip them as i go much easier and i think neater appearence :)
I also always clip as I go, much easyer for me. Each to there own choose. I just think its much neater then trying to get little threads covered by other parts of stitching. Hugs and flowers all here
In general cut as you go, in some cases it's hard to cut them afterwards - guess how I know -, at other times you get away with it. So, better be safe than sorry.
I don't know if there's a rule.I mostly cut them before the next color :)
