A Cute Sharon wrote me about Toilet paper holder, and I thought it would be interesting showing some Japanese ones here. EVERY Japanese house has TP holder on their toilet, all as beautiful as these ones. The TP frame in Australia is different, so it needs a different pattern for the holders. Anyway, I think that would be some inspiration for your next project.

Love, Yoriko

Hi Yoriko, so sorry to hear about your foot. You have made me feel nostalgic for Japan. There is so much that is so different in your country and all so useful. I liked the heated loo seats...
Take care and dont over do it with your foot

These are all very cute indeed! I think this pattern would work on any holder, not just the ones shown - they look really nice and hold a spare just in case! Thank you for showing these examples as inspiration! Hope you get well soon!

Thinking that I had quite a collection of these in Japan, and I threw them away...I regret, could adapt or something.

I can see the toot roll holder has some kind of cover over it maybe we can use the simple pattern and just place a couple of loops at the top or button holes and we can hook it up for the Australian toot rolls I like the idea of the flap and it lends it self to some nifty embroidery ideas such as instructins for the men of the house how to put on a new roll when one runs out not just use it and leave it laying around and partially unravelled.

I found a simple pattern, but it will not work for every TP frames. You will see that on Japanese one, it has a gap behind the lid, allowing the holder go through. This link is for a Japanese site, you can see the pictures, they are very clear to understand, or put on google translator, but the translation is not good :)

Thanks for the link; cannot determine if the pattern would work for my bathrooms, although I do have different types of holders. Will try to make one. Very cute!

I will put my two cents in & vote for the one that looks like crochet .In some OLD crochet books you can find these designs to hand make.As my dad would say thats a pretty crappy deal HE!HE!carolyn
