This is absolutely beautifull. I am also busy with a quilt for my sisters grandbaby, and when I saw this beauty, I decided to try a ragquilt myself. Hope I can get it as lovely as this one. Will post when done.
Well done

You will have so much fun doing a rag quilt and I'm sure it will be beautiful.
This is lovely! I look forward to seeing the next one! Love and flowers from Dianne x x x
WOW! You did a fantastic job on this! What a great first project!
Thank you for all the kind comments about my quilt. #2 is in the works and I am anxious to finish it so I can post it too. Teresa
Wow this quilt is great.how did you do the sashing in between the blocks. It looks like a fluffy effect similiar to velvet thread technique.i would love to know how you did this.
That is the rag part. You sew the pieces together wrong side to wrong side and then snip the seam. Wash dry and it fluffs automatically. Google Rag quilts and you will see many examples and instructions.
Quilt is beautiful! Grandbabies are wonderful..can't imagine how I would feel about greatgrandbabies.
I'm hoping that they will be even better because I will have more time to enjoy them.
It's beautiful! I hope Tubby sees this one, he would be pleased to see his designs in such a beautiful work! Well done!
I sent him an email thanking him for the darling design and said that I hoped he would see it in "Projects".
Your quilt is beautiful. Your Greatgrandson will love it and learn his ABC's while staying nice and warm. *4U

Very nice. It's not very often that we see a complete alphabet on anything :)
Lovely quilt! You made good use of this lovely alphabet. I wish you good luck with the second one.
Very nice! The alpha is adorable. I like the edge of the quilt. Did you use a folded piece of fabric with the fold to the outside? I like that effect.
Glad I could help ~ I clicked on the picture to get a bigger look at the designs it is great. I wish I knew how to make one of these rag quilts I think it is over my abilities.
Rag quilts are very easy to make. Google rag quilt and you will find lots of info on how to make one. I added an extra layer of fabric to the back of mine so that the back side of the embroidery was covered but just let your creativity run wild with it. There is no wrong way. I used two layers of flannel and a light weight stabilizer when making the blocks and then added another layer of flannel in a coordinating print for the back side.
