If you buy the rotary cutter, I think you should invest in the cutting mat. I would also stress to be careful of the blade. Be sure to retract the blade before laying it down. I forgot once and my finger just brushed agaist it and I got a pretty deep cut! They are very nice for cutting straight pieces of fabric(several layers at a time) and batting.

super price, I use mine all the time. Cut edges, seams, long straight lines. Once you have it you'll wonder how you ever did without it. You can always find additional blades on ebay for really good prices. Our walmart sells em for $4.50 each blade and I've gotten 5 pks for $6 on ebay. Just be careful, if it isn't in the origanl pkg, skip it. Got a super deal (yeah right) got the blades and they had already been used!! But all the others have been terrific. Of course they were in sealed pkgs. have fun..........

I use my rotary cutters all the time, especially on my felt or fleece projects. I don't quilt but I have used the cutters for years. Mind you , they are sharp and don't ever use without the mat or you will ruin something underneath. Looks like a good buy to me. Once you get them and start using , You will want all the different sizes.

Hi there I use a roatry cutter most of the time. I have a mat and then I have a long plastic cutting mat without markings that I use for larger projects that don't fit on the marked mat. Hugs Yvonne

I am just now trying to make a quilt. I have had a rotary cutter for years, and love it. I have the Olfa size 45, and the next smaller one down from the size 45. I use mine to cut off anything where I want a straight cut, pants, teeshirts, and etc. I have also purchased the decorative blades for my size 45. I use it to go around fleece blankets, and to go around felt coasters. H&*

I wish it were as cheap here as it is in the USA. I use mine for when sewing, just made 2 pair of trousers for my GD, ideal to cut the long straight sides, nice even 1 cm seams , and so much faster and easier on the hands than scissors.

yes that is a good price, you will find you use it for just about everything. I started quilting and bought my first mat, wonder how I ever lived without it, I found a tiny cutter I use for my smaller patterns saves so much time.

One word of advice... the rotary cutters are razor blade sharp!!! Be very careful when using one because they will cut you as easily as the fabric. Like a hot knife through butter. My MIL took a large slice off the side of her index finger when she first got hers.

Oh my yes! I cut almost everything in my sewing room with a rotary cutter. It's just so much easier on your hands than scissors. And as far as that price goes..it seems very reasonable to me.
