This is on ebay, and I'd appreciate any feedback about this machine. My DH is considering buying it for me :)

Love,

Hi I saw the machine working at a trade show. The company representative was demonstrating the machine to me. It worked like a charm and didn't seem too hard. They teach you to take the machine apart yourself and fix it so you seldom need a service call. It seemed pretty easy to do. I was with him for quite a while and considered buying it myself later. It was one of the quietiest machines on the floor running there. I was impressed with it. Hope that helps you! Suzanne

Lenamae, that's the advantage to a commercial or multi needle machine. They all do that. When it's time for a color change the machine switches to a different needle. I have my eye on one that has 16 needles. So you could sew 16 different colors without having to change thread.

Hi Yoriko
I was looking at a embroidery machines on ebay recently and got as far as deciding what my maximum price was. I did not get it, BUT when at my dealers a few days later getting my machine serviced there was the machine I had been looking at AND at the price I had been prepared to pay. Because I use the dealer he will service the machine and I can buy threads etc at discount. I know the machine I want is good because the dealer has its history - as he had the history of the machine I already have. Had I got the ebay machine I would have had to pay full service costs and full thread etc costs PLUS I would have had no knowledge of the machine.
I know it is difficult to get to the dealer as he covers a huge area. I am on his upper limit but it is well worth the pain of getting there and back. The other day there was no charge!!! this would not happen on ebay. And dear to answer your question I am aware of Toyota machines but have not used one. Is your husband willing to pay servicng of the machine and is there anywhere that you can get it done?
I have just had a look and it does look a bargain
Yoriko, I look forward to hearing what happens
xxC

Dear Caroline-san. I guess it will not be this time, my DH gets very skeptical about buying expensive stuff on ebay. The ad doesnt say it is working, so that was enough for him to give up, and I think he is right. Well, someday, maybe... Thank you for your feedback.

I have not heard about the embroidery machine of Toyota, but my first sewing maching was from toyota, and I must say that I was lucky to have very good working machine. I never had any problems and now, I gave it to my mum and she makes already a good job ! But I don´t know if the embroidery machine works the same way !
Greets and I hope it helps a little

Yoriko, Last year I attended the NMB trade show in Baltimore Md. They had all the commercial machines set up for demos. It is just my opinion but the Toyota machines did not impress me a great deal. My dream machine is now the AmayaXT but it is over well $10,0000 new. Needless to say that will remain a dream!! The price on the Ebay add looks great but...without purchasing from a dealer you would most likely have no technical support. And no formal training. I have worked on 12 needle machines and know how finicky they can be. Luckily tech support for us was only a phone call away. I would be very leary of making a purchase like this unless I was able to physically see and operate the machine before final purchase. JMHO

Yoriko I also heard this is THE embroidery machine, but as someone already said, make sure of the back-up service. Just go for the SWF. You get them world wide.

Yoriko, I wanted to thank you for the Shamrock with a loop designs that you offer us each day! It's a wonderful alphabet, and although I thank you on your site, just wanted to say it here, also.
Don't know about the machine; sorry.
Hugs,
Jacqueline

I personally have not heard anything pro or con on these but that is a lot of money for something that you have not seen or test stitched on. Buyer beware as my DH has always said and if it sounds to good to be true it probably is. Good Luck on your decision. Sara

I personally would NEVER buy anything like this from E-bay. You don't get the back up or service that you would if you went to a dealer. And you don't get any lessons. You could ask your local dealer if he has any second hand machines. They usually sell them serviced and reconditioned and in good working order. You also get the back up in case of problems and a guarantee. And you would probably get one free lesson. I am only going on what my dealer does, here in South Australia, but I would think you would get the same service interstate.

I totally agree with Mpo140116. When my old baby lock 6 needles passed the extended warrenty. I donate to church. The service fee on those industrial machines are not cheap for sure.

I saw the new one. Those babies are $10,000. now!!!! On sale for $7,000. Yippie!!!

Thank you for the suggestion. I'll make sure I'll have some back-up service...if I ever get this machine :)

Good morning Yoriko, I was told years ago to keep away from Toyota. It`s not a very good machine and has alot of problems. But someone might come in that has a different opinion.

Toyota is one of the best commercial embroidery machine. After I said that, I would ask the seller serious questions about how it was used and why it is for sale. In addition, make sure in your area have someone can service the machine.

BTW, received the FSL bunny alpha. THank you.
