Well, you have gotten a lot of great ideas below. I can just say that my 14 year old and her best friend, are really into the Anime Characters.
Hearts, cell phones, make up, cd players, sun glasses...*******
Michelle at myembroiderynook has a lot of sock monkey sets, the link is to one with a freebie. Her prices are rock bottom, and her designs sew out so nicely.

My almost 14 year old girl says "hearts", "puppies", "kittens". My 15 year old isn't here right now but her room has heart throbs on the wall like Taylor Lautner, Robert Patinson (both from Twilight), and Nick Jonas. She is also into panda bears.
If you are near a particular high school you could do their mascot.
Also mod flowers like from the hippie days. Sayings that are in right now include, "lame sauce", "cool", "awesome", "that's epic", "that's so ninja". I think some sayings actually vary with the town or school.
My 15 year old is home now and says peace signs are in and the saying, "Peace, love, happiness".
Hee hee hee, I get a kick out of this, I still have "original" peace signs and hippie flowers from 40 years ago, hee hee hee! Hugs, Marji
Answer from a 12 yr old. Sock monkeys are cool. They have come back! Now, from the 40 yr old mom, she said they never went out!! (She's a monkey collector)
It's pretty obvious I never had any teenage girls, my sons were never into this kind of thing. LOL!!!
I suppose I should collect some for my GD's but they won't be teenagers for another 10 years. :-)))

they really are made from what used to be work socks..brown color with red heel. My daughter had 2 made by her great aunt, in fact still has them. I guess they are so ugly you have to love them? You can buy the socks from craft catalogs and the instructions usually come with them. I'm sitting here smiling thinking of grown women discussing sock monkeys! LOL
Good luck with this one. My Granddaughters still love Hannah Montana. Marie
TY I am worried about using anything that may have a license or copyright to sell
this is a devil sock monkey,,
He's not a devil, he's the Flash! Comic book hero that runs reallllyyy fast. I hadn't been there in a while, and would have missed him, thanks!

there is one free on this site at the bottom of the page
My daughter had one with soccer designs she kept in her soccer bag all thru high school for bench time and bus trips. She's in college now and still pulls it out for TV time.
This is what I am thinking NOT 100% sure though
very cute... i did see some free ones on the web too. I'll try and find them for you.
My sister that sells home decor says that sock monkeys sell real well. I think they are scary.
Personally I don't care for sock monkeys either but if it sells the blanket that is all I do care about.
All I can say is "good luck" with this one! It's a great idea, hope you come up with a knockout design. Hugs, Marji
One of my granddaughters is 14 but she is athletic and loves soccer. She also Irish dances. Her b'day was a couple of weeks ago and I bought one of those inexpensive polar fleece blankets, and embroidered and Irish dancer and a girl playing soccer. She loved it and said she needed a new one to keep in her "bags". My other granddaughters are much younger and is into the "teen scene" with the "Suite Life" etc... This probably didn't help, but not all girls are into girly things like we would like them to be. LOL...
So very true! But I have to try and make this as generic as I can hopefully I will get some orders for personalized ones!
Hi pssst,,, i have a 16 year old daughter and right now she likes the sock monkey, 80's is back, there is a nice set in the designs by cuties of girly things (makeup etc,) they all love hearts, or maybe watch some of those much music videos, if you can handle it ,,,lol.
Good Luck ...Lee
