That holder should come out with no trouble. Slide the plastic plate towards you. Then lift the black holder up and check it for burrs. Make sure when you put it back you line it up correctly. Check your manual on it. Try turning it down to 3.5 and see if that helps. BUT first check that holder.
Thank you so much, you are a life saver! I was afraid I'd break the plastic plate cause I didn't know how easy it comes off, cleaned out the lint and thread pieces and it is now working perfectly! I learned several lessons today and appreciate your help so much!
The black bobbin holder just lifts out. The plastic plate in front of it just slides towards you. Did you wind a new bobbin? Sometimes the bobbin gets messed up and the bobbin thread can come to the top. If you did wind a new bobbin, make sure the little wheel on the top of the machine is set at about 3.5
I can't get the black holder to come out. I used a new bobbin and the dial on top is set to 4.
I got the front part off and the black part out. It looks ok but I am ready to cry. This looks so easy but isn't and I am not a novice with a machine.
Take your bobbin out. Take out the black bobbin holder. Remove the plastic plate in front of that. Make sure there aren't any threads or lint or even a tiny speck of needle in there. Check the black bobbin holder for any cuts or scratches. If there is one and it isn't too deep you can use an emory board to smoooth it down. Wind a new bobbin. Then see if it starts working better. I will keep checking back for about 30 mins then I have to go watch the girls for a bit. When I get home tonite I will check on this again.
Ok, that helped but now I am searching my manual because I have bobbin thread on top. Guess this towel won't be a gift, lol!
I don't know how to get anything other than the bobbin cover off. I am so sad at this stuff.
You can move your stitches forward and backwards. Also you can skip ahead or behind in colors. On the screen click on adjust, the next screen click the middle button looks like a needle with a +/- on it then you can advance your design or take it back
Thanks, that helps a lot, problem now is the bobbin thread isn't catching again, sure hope it didn't screw up the machine when the needle broke!
I also have a Brother SE-350 and are new at this. But I think I've had every problem possible. Make sure that you are threading the bobbin exactly as it shows. Make sure that you hold the thread and take it thru the windy U and have it cut the thread. I always tried so hard to make sure it was feeding right coming off the bobbin...but if you only make sure the thread is pulling off in the right direction and wind thru the little U it will do it all itself. Hope this helps.
I cannot help with a Brother, but with my Bernina I have a plus and minus for the stitches. So maybe you can move your machine forward with the plus if you start at the beginning. I have done that and it worked, hope it helps. *4u
