Canaimas, I'm glad you got your problem solved! Very interesting, I thought all Bernina machines used ART, now I know something new. Good luck with your designs, now that you can use them. Hugs, Marji
you can use many formats, but if you want to be able to reduce/enlarge designs more than 20% without problems then you need art format. But, it needs to be digitized in art. There should be a heart symbol on the bottom right hand of the software screen. So I'm told by Shirley who teaches the embroidery classes for our Embroidery Group.
I also have a Bernina Artista with Version 5 and I do not even convert my designs to ART.
Mostly ART and PES although I had used the others as well. Only "problem" is the colours are then different.
Okay, we´ll try also the PES-Format.
There are so many wonderful designs only avaible in this format.
I have a Bernina Artista 730. and version 5 designer plus software. I take it that you are downloading in the Art format. What trouble are you having?
Thank you! jar2jam had the right idea!
The problem is the art-format. We tried the EXP-format and now it works!!!
I do not have that machine, I was wondering if you have software that you can try and re-save the design even if in the same format sometimes that works for me. I don't know why I will occassionally get a design .pes and when I try to load it, it isn't recognized. I edit in my software and do a "save selected as" .pes and also choose to center it and then click save when it prompts me to overwrite I say yes and then the design works fine. I hope this helps.
Have you tried the EXP format?
Julia
You are the winner!!!!
Everybody told us to use only the art-format, even the lady from Bernina ..
Thank you sooooooo much!!
