To make a design that you would sew onto a garment or other item, you can take freezer paper (white paper with a glossy back side, sold in the grocery store, to wrap meat in). Iron fabric onto the back and trim to fit into your ink jet printer. Print the photo on the fabric. Peel the paper off. Iron (without steam) to 'set' the ink and make it permanent. Trim this and use this behind the embroidery, by aligning before stitching the design, by using a template.
Brilliant .... Did not even cross my mind to do that. |Thanks heaps jacquipaul
When I did it I just cut photo and stuck it on the back of egg
Another brilliant idea, that never crossed my mind either. I thought about cutting out the photo and thought you had to shove it into the cut out space before the ast satin stitch. Just goes to show no brains. Cheers
They have fabric that you can use on an inkjet printer. You would print the photo the size you need on that fabric. You can get the fabric at Joann's or even Office Depot.
Thanks alexgrandma for your thoughts, yes I know the stuff you are talking about. Cheers
