Congratulations. It is a lovey feeling - this new machine. Now is bonding time.
Kathy, I'm so happy for you! I also dream of having a semi industrial or industrial machine, I'm sure I'd be as excited as you are now! Congratulations!
Kathy, you are going to love that machine - I wished I had one, too. I do hope you have the space and don't have to move it around - one of my friends calls hers "Big Boy" - it takes several men to move it.
Congratulations lv2sew! You must be in 7th heaven! I dream about owning that machine. Have a wonderful time making all sorts of wonderful things with your new baby....Barb
FANTASTIC !!!!!! So happy for you....did you get the stand, extra set of hoops, cap hoop set, Studio Plus and Masterworks II digitizing software?????
I'M SO EXCITED FOR YOU.>>>>>>>...
OK..that's it. I'm gonna quit Cute! I'm so jealous of all the Cuties who are getting multi needle machines. I want one soooo bad I can taste it. I need to get a job or have a mega yard sale. Seriously, congratulations on your new baby!! I used to work in an embroidery shop on 12 needle machines. Believe me the larger sewing field and the hat hoops will be great but the best thing is the embroidery arm. It is so much easier to load your hooped items. Pant legs and shirt sleeves are a breeze. I wish you great success with your new machine!!
Well now, aren't u the lucky one. congratulations on your new Babylock. *
Congratulations! I know nothing about it, but it sounds great! I love embroidery and haven't been doing it for long, but am definitely hooked on it. I still get excited every time I think about another design or another garment to put something on! I have a Brother Innovis 1500D, but someday I want a bigger hoop -- maybe a long time from now when I am much better at it. Hooray for you! You can tell us all about it as you go along.
Congratulations! I hope you and your machine enjoy a lifetime of trouble free projects together.
As for learning to digitise, speaking from experience, once you get hooked on it, you never get anything else done, including embroidery.
And if you think you don't get enough sleep now, forget it, you'll spend many more nights at your computer and far fewer nights sleeping. LOL!!!
And when you do sleep you'll dream of all the designs you want to digitise and all the designs you have to digitise for others until you find yourself waking up and going back to your computer. LOLOLOLOL!!!
And if you think collecting designs is addictive, just wait until you start collecting artwork and every piece of art (including animated gifs), becomes a potential design until you realise you can't share it with anyone because it's licensed or copyright protected. AAAAAGHH!!!
Nah, if you enjoy sewing and embroidery and other crafts, don't ever learn to digitise, cause you lose the will to do anything else!!!! hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!
Hugs and roses, Meganne
I have the Brother PR-620 which is the same machine. I just got it this weekend, but I have used it in the past at my friend's house. Very user friendly and there are many, many different hoops/attachments you can buy.
Congrats!!! teri
Well congrats on your new machine as well..I was looking at this machine myself and found it is to be the same..I get all the hoops and the stand when mine arrives..wish I could start reading up on it now...I can't wait..I won't feel so limited now with a bigger embroidery field. *4u
ssarner (Soi) has been using her machine for quite a while and finally upgraded to the new BL model. She is a pilar of information, and I know she would welcome any questions you may have... send her a PM if you get stuck. :-)
I got my Brother PR 650 in November. It is almost the same as yours. The learning curve isn't too bad. Read the books that come with it and have fun.
I don't know what part of the world you live in, but I found hats at the local WalMart store...mainly for practicing on. You will have so much fun with your new machine, that you may not want to digitize..you will not have time. It is a great machine.
;-)
I live in Ohio...and believe it or not..I work at walmart..so I get a discount as well...I bought tons of the ski caps when they clearanced them out and had alot of fun embroidering on them...just think of the fun I will have with ball caps...That is what I'm thrilled about...Already got a line of customers for ball caps..oh and you are right...I will be toooooo busy playing to squeeze time out of my day to digitize..I will leave that for the experts and continue to buy designs..lol *
Don't have this machine so can't be of any help there. But I can say congratulations on the new machine and happy stitching.
