-Basic to transfer the design onto my card it said there is no sewing data.I am lost as to what to do next. Please help! Hope All my cutie friends have a great day.

Nanna you need to update the software for your PED Basic and you'll no longer get the "new sewing data" error when you view files in PED Basic to transfer to the card.

I know this works, and I've updated my own PED Basic. This appears to be a really old update, but install it anyway...beats me why Brother still ships the reader with outdated software anyway lol. Oh and one other thing: the instructions for installing this update tell you to uninstall your current PED Basic software/drivers, I didnt bother I just installed it by running the exe and mine works fine :)

You may need to register with Brother USA to get this update, I cant remember but I'm registered with them anyway.

The problem with pes designs they come in pes 1,2,4, 5.6 and 6. I am not sure but I think that pes basic can only read version 1 not sure about version 2. With the free Pulse Program you can change to the version that you want. I hope this helps. I have PED basic and Ped lite and find a lot of designs don't show up on the the PED basic. Sometime their is a choice of different versions when downloading designs. I always choose the version 1 or 2 if possible.

Try resaving the design. Just open it up click on edit click select all then in file select save as pes and that should work, at least it does for me.

Well I tried your suggestion and still no luck. I remembered reading here on cute that embroiderydesigns.com has a free conversion so I went there and Thank God that worked. I can know stich out those designs. Thanks for your help.
