It jammed, and smoke came from it.
I guess I was pushing it too hard, for a domestic machine, making it work mostly 14 hours a day...and I still have so many designs to be tested :(((There is no dealer for the machine in Australia. Right now my DH is putting it apart, try to find out what is wrong.
I do need a big hug :(

My DH put the machine apart, cleaned with air compressor and you should see, all dirty and a black and sandy grease all over. He cleaned all that and oiled again, and putting them together today. I'm hoping this will make my baby working again! Crossing my fingers

3980Oh! that must be terrible, but with help your machine will run again. I am always afraid that something like that happens, so i try not to use the machine for more that 5 or 6 hours, I live in Dominican Republic and like you there is no dealer to take my machine so I will be have to send it to Miami, florida, I do not want to think how much will it cost me to fix my baby. My DH said the same, he needs rest, he worked in lunch time too, from 6-7am till 8-9pm... gokurosama to him, as Japanese says, thank you for the very hard work...

Today I made a calculation of how many designs I made this month, from 1st to 24, and I couldn't believe myself: 228 designs, average of 9.5 per day! The day is not finished and I already have 5 to be tested...

I know that smoke is frightening, but it may have just been from friction and not actual fire. I will pray for you and for your machine. Had imagined that you had one of the commercial models; wish that there were dealers for it in Austrailia. It is shameful that I sometimes complain when my machines won't work, and the shop is less than an hour away. Will be glad to test designs for you. Just let me know.

When it started smoking, I turned it off, hopefully the motor is not damaged...Thank you for offering the test sewing, I did asked a wonderful friend, she is helping me at the moment, but I'll let you know if I need more help. Thank you so much!

My machine is Jaguar, but it is the same as singer futura, we just rang singer dealer, they said they can have a look, per 90 dollars an hour...so my DH is going to try fix and in last resort(spell?) go to there.

Oh, my foot is almost normal, doing some exercises to get the normal movements again.
6982Bear hugs Yoriko. I have never had that problem but I have a back up machine just in case. DH thought I was crazy when I told him I NEEDED a back up. Of course during the Christmas rush I have been know to have 3 going at once. What machine do you have that you do such lovely work on?
