In San Diego, I had EVERYTHING, except Hobby Lobby... There were WONDERFUL quilt stores in every area and my dealer was one of the largest BL/Brother dealers in the country. Here in Texas however, I'm learning my way. :-) Found some good ones and I'm sure I'll find many more! lol
I have Joanns, Michaels and a few quilting shops. And I don't quilt. I miss having lots of chioces. I am in Grand Forks, North Dakota. If there is anyone out there near me lease let me know. I have been having a hard time even finding people to share with. Another reason why I love this site so much. I at least can see and share when AI see your projects.

Oh poor you ;-( 1 hour away isn't too bad but 1 hour there & 1 hour back again!!!

I have too many stores, way more stores than I have money to spend in them. I go in to buy one thing and come out having spent about $50 (or more.)
sounds just like me - I will go for some thread & come home with new fabric or something that was on offer & couldn't resist ;-)
Well, I am about one and a half mile from Walmart, about two from Hobby Lobby and Joans, then there is also Garden Ridge and Michael's Oh and hancock!!!!***
Oh so you are also "Lucky"
Some Cuties have to travel miles & even to next towns to get their goodies
Hugs Karma x
I have my local Fabric Shop about a 5 minute drive away - but Spotlight is in Newcastle city and the only "large" fabric place around here. There is a Lincraft store on the Central coast - we are hungry for larger stores that carry everything. Maybe one day!
Love and blessings from Chris, Newcastle, Australia
One day you may awake & find a "HUGE" store around the corner (and awake from your dreams) LOL gosh I don't drive so I would be quite stuck if I didn't have my locals
