job and saved his life - now they are trying to determine if they will leave it in for some time or remove it. I am for leaving it in - just to be save - that was such a scare - when they said that there was a blood clot there and it saved his life. Now, we are hoping that he will be able to come home next week - April 2nd. - we are waiting for a report for the first of the week - to see what they say. I can't wait to stop traveling so far each day to see him. I spent 12 hours there yesterday, plus the 2 that it takes to drive there. I feel I need to be there for all these final days of therapy - to learn how to help him. Thanks for all the love and support. Shirlene

Shirlene, I missed you before I knew all that was going on with you. I was gone for so long because of my computer. The first time I got it back for 2 days was when I found out about Miss Loretta. The second time I got it back, the 1st thing I read was that she was your Mom. Then I found out about Rick and I was beginning to wonder just how long you were going to be able to hold up. I have had you and hubby on my prayer list and I am so glad to hear that he is doing better so.. therefore, you are doing better also. I know it will be wonderful to have Rick back home again. Please take good care of yourself, (I did forget to mention that you were also in bed for a few days sick). If you get run down and are exposed to anything going into and out of the hospital, you will end up sick again. We have really missed you and worried about you as well as Rick. I am sure these 3 Months of 2010 have seemed like many more than just 3 months. It is a very good idea for you to learn what to do for hubby to help him. Carolyn, thank you - it did - the strange thing was - they were in the process of removing it - but if it stays he will have to take blood thinners, too. I am trying to take care of me, too.

Praise God in all things, even tiny little filters. Of course my prayers continue for you and Rich; do try to rest when you are able, as I'm sure you're exhausted.

Dear Shirlene, thank you for keeping us posted. Think of you both every time I come to Cute ( in other words, A LOT!) Very glad the filter was there and that it did its job, but what a scare you must have had. It is good news that he will come home very soon. You will both be very glad for lots of reasons, I'm sure. You are so good to spend all that time traveling to be with him and must be exhausted. Be careful to watch you own health and well-being so you can take care of Rick.
