I buy a lot of stuff from allstitch. They have good prices and great service. I have a Janome 350. I use Organ needles. I also use Madeira thread that I bought on ebay.

I use groz-beckert needles and they do just fine. I change needles when i do special things with fine things and fsl.

Oh this is interesting :)
I have a Janome sewing machine and it wont stitch nicely with any needle except genuine Janome Blue Tip needles, I guess the length of the shank is the reason then (I'd always wondered). Dana xXx

Only use Janome or Organ needles in your Janome. Organ make needles for Janome. The shank is slightly shorter on Janome needles. If you use other brand of needles it could result in skipped stitches.

ohh! that explains it! i have had some trouble with the schmet needles, but didn't know that was what was causing the skips
thank you

Thanks for this tip. I own a Janome also and now I understand why I had poor results when I changed the needle recently. Thanks

If you will try and google Discount Embroidery Supply you will find they have several different brands of needles for machine embroidery for home and commercial use. I feel they have great prices. Unless they have changed they have free shipping on orders of $20 or more they are very prompt and nice if you have questions. Give them a try I have received great service on needles from them.
