Thank you for calling my attention to this site today. There are some wonderful designs for 99 cents on sale plus the free designs are new to me. I have not been here for some time now, trying to catch up with everything else that I missed while my computer was sick! I am going to get the seasonal mailboxes and do them for Brian's new office. I also found some flowers and birds that I know Gail will like to put in their new home. My problem with Gail is that she has this thing about all black frames for everything. She likes all muted warm colors for everything else but I have not been able to convience her that black does not match everything. She started the black frame thing long before she and Brian got married soooo she has many, many black frames. The colors for their very 1st home of their own is beige(in several tones), light colored floor coverung and beige Berber(sp) carpet. The black is not going to go very well in a totally warm colored home. My favorite for frames is in browns and brown rustics for the right pictures. Of couse, I am going to do some Patriotic Roosters and Hens for the kitchen and to give the house some color, I am going to use a red frame for one, a blue for one and the white frame in the middle for the other.
I have a feeling that she will change the frames or knowing her, she might just hide the pictures or put them in the office in the back yard. The reason I chose the mailboxes for his office is because of how much he loves the country look and one of them has a pheasant on the design. I think the only wall hangings that they have are some metal huge stars in a brassy finish and the black wood, Live, Love, & Laugh pieces. Everything else is pictures of her daughters and their families. She does have 2 large pictures done by Thomas Kinkade that I got for them and she loves his work as much as I do and some small sweet feminine plaques that were hanging in their bathrooms. I DON'T do bathrooms except for the towels etc. I do have a wood piece in my bath that I painted alot of yrs ago with a man's shaving "stuff" on a shelf. It may find it's way to their bathroom if Brian wants it. I had it in his bathroom before I left Sandersville along with a kit-made owl. Owls are good luck so I do not need to get rid of any of my many. I think I need to rub them like Aladdin's bottle!!! Hugs, Linda
I have a piece of cake on my web site. It is not cross stitch, but it is a freebie.
