I always have a doubt when trying to design FSL. It's the pattern. I want that soft, vintage and used look, understand? On Embird I adjust the parameters of the zig zag underlay at density 5 or 6, to make a strong underlay, so I put filling pattern 1 or 2 (Embird 2003) at density 15, but I think that look artificial , like an aplicque... someone can help me? Don't have any scholl design here...

Hi Noah, I just translated this in my translator and this is what was said -

"Rs ... Yoriko, I just found it ... lol .. after about 5m interfacing ... I more or less so, 2 layers, 45 and 135 degrees and the other with 0 and 180 degrees, the edges used the outline tool, with a little heart you have, only I used 4 layers of them overlapping. Then I used the column on the little hearts, just flipped the underlay, which did not even know what it was, but I saw that gave a damn deiferença. Trying to make a beautiful design and practical post here! The problem that my program is Embird 2003 has so little resource! You do not know any place to download the 2010 for free?"

Love and blessings Chris

Oh excuse me dears... but I express myself so good in portugese and so poor in english... And Yoriko speaks portugese so well that I couldn't resist. But the translation is alright!

When doing FSL you never use an underlay, but use severallayers of filling, set at a low density, at different angles, e.g. 3 layers at -60, 0 and 60 degrees. That way you get crossed layers that hold together after rinsing the wss. Experiment with different densities 15-50, and vary the number of layers 2-4, see what you prefer. You can use an additional layer using a motif stitch instead of a filling stitch.
Make sure you use connection stitches between layers that follow the outline of the design, that way it stitches out without jump stitches.
