The stitches are all loose and loopy, was not easy to see as it was all the same colour, changed the bottom thread to a contrast and it sure was not using bobbin thread, altered the tension, NO NO No does not fix the problem. Took the machine back to Spotlight. There they informed me that head office have not decided what to do about my own brother,.

Guess I will have a very strong cup of coffee and use my faithful Janome sewing machine, that has never broken down, sew something and take my mind off wanting to stamp my feet. Think nice serene thoughts, LOL.

So sorry Helen. Hope you get things straightened out. Sounds as though perhaps bobbin thread not feeding for some reason. Make sure bobbin & case are seated correctly. Clean around & under the bobbin case also. Try turning the wheel with your hand slowly & see if you can see why the thread is not being picked up from the bobbin. *

This was the shop demo machine, tried all the cleaning and rethreading to no avail. This is the same thing my own machine did when I had it 3 months and it had to go to the serviceman to be fixed.

I have 3 Brother machines and never had a problem. It sounds as though you have really gotten a lemon which I know can happen with any purchase. I wouldn't trade my machines for anything as they are real workhorses. Good luck and I hope Brother comes through for you.

I am sorry for the trouble you are having....but, not all Brothers are the same...(knock on wood), mine sews like a dream. I think it is possible to get a lemon - lets just hope they replace it very soon for you and apologize for the inconvinience! (and I think you deserve to stamp your feet a couple of times!!!)*

Helen I hope Brother comes through for you. Thank God for having a stand by or we would really be doing flips. I remember being without my sewing machine a few years ago and only had that one. It seemed like everything needed sewing when I didn't have a machine. I don't know how I FIESTA but I did ANYHOW *2U
