Like most everyone else, I put designs in seperate files/folders (Alphabet, Animals, Lace) and sub folders in those (Animals-Dogs, Cats, Birds). When I have a complete set or alphabet I burn it on a CD and delete from my computer. I use Embird so I don't know anything about Studio Plus but I'm sure there is something online that would help you figure it out.

I agree with pcteddy. I also use Studio Plus. With a little guidance you will be a pro. Perhaps there is one who lives near you and can help. I am in North Dakota, USA. Good luck and let us know how you are doing with organizing designs. Don't get overwhelmed. Just do 1 design at a time and keep on going.

When I first started downloading I was printing out the color charts but my husband had the foresight to see that it would take up too much space. I Have it all on computer now. I don't use special software. I have a folder named "Embroidery Designs" and folders within that with different categories. I cut and paste the info for each design to a word document in each category. Sometimes I list the design in more than one category with a note of which folder it is located in. For example if I have a flower with heart petals I would list it in my "heart" folder and my "floral" folder. I also back up my folder to an external hard drive so if my computer crashes I don't lose everything.

Do you mean Designers Gallery Studio Plus (made by the Baby Lock folks)? If so, you already have a very nice program to use to organize your files (and do a bunch of other really cool things like convert, change stops, drop colors, etc.). You can create folders and drag designs there so they are in categories. Your software should have come with a manual or the store where you bought it should be able to help. There is also a demo of the software on the designers gallery web site that might help.

I use a program called Buzz Tools. I have a folder labeled Cute Embroidery and inside of that sub-folders labeled Filled designs - Redwork - Lace, etc. When I open my Buzz catalogue I can click on the folder and it shows me the picture of the design, size, number of stitches, and order of colors. If you go to <http://www.buzztools.com/default1...> you can download a free trial to see if you like it.

Thank you, I should have tried that before I bought the one I have, do you have to cancel at the end of the free trial or does it just quit?
