safely remove it - they want us to schedule it again in two weeks - I am not sure about it - but I think - trying three times - ought to be enough - but that is my opinion - they have up to six months for the removal of it - before it becomes part of the vein or part of Rick. At this point - I am glad he has it and it has done it's job. He is at risk - because they have him on what people call blood thinner - so if the filter stays - he has to stay on it, too. Today, is his 55th birthday and he is resting well.

So sorry to have missed this earlier. Many prays still going up on Rick's behalf, and for your continued strength. Dealing with medical issues can be so frustrating. Just know how much we all care. Sending hugs to you both. Love, Marjorie ***

Thank you each - I am so glad that I have Rick and that we have the chance to do things anew. I was worried that they kept trying to remove a filter that seems to be working to keep him around - I would rather they keep it in - than to lose him - for it coming out much too soon - or going through the proceedure each time - which is a chance of losing him - with each proceedure - as well. Thanks so much for you love and support and Rick thought it was neat - that y'll told him Happy Birthday, too. Hehehe!

Shirlene, I know how frustrating it must be for both of you at this time but please keep your faith in the Lord and in his Drs. The filters seem to be doing what they are designed to do and we are all going to keep praying and hope Rick improves enough to to heal on his own without them soon. Give him a big hug from all of us here at Cute and tell him we hope he has a great Birthday at this time but an even better 56th one! Try to keep him in good spirits but do not forget to take care of Shirlene also!! You just never how much you can endure until the actual times comes to carry an extra load on your shoulders. My prayers go out to all of you. You have been through alot but you have also "come through" many obstacles to get to this point. Hang in there Shirlene. The Lord will see you through all of this and I pray that Rick will soon be healed and this will all be just a memory that you will be able to thank the Lord for seeing you through. We sure do miss you but we do understand. Keep in touch as much as you can. As all things, this too will pass and I pray for the best for the two of you. Hugs, Linda

Isn't it wonderful that they have the technology to place and monitor these little filters? I know that it's a hassle for you, but it is keeping your DH alive and well. Wish him a Happy Birthday from me and from all of the Cuties! Keep your spirits up; exhaustion can be cruel to you. Rest whenever you're able.
Love, hugs and kisses,
Jacqueline

Well, please tell him that I will sing happy birthday to him! It must be annoying to keep going back and having nothing done. I'm sure that the doctors probably know what is best in this situation so just handle him gently with the blood thinner coursing throught his veins so you don't bruise him.;)
