We have this brand Isocol Rubbing Alcohol available from Chemists.
I think it has a few uses. But on open wounds it may sting.
Well we certainly learn something new every day don't we? - and this is just the site to learn too. I was under the impression that 'rubbing alcohol' was linament as used for relief of sore or strained muscles. Didn't know Vodka was used for this purpose...Who says your can't teach an old dog new tricks hey???
Just my 2cents worth--the alcohol to which we are referring is the kind you clean cuts. The kind you keep in your bathroom medicine cabinet.
Alcohol used to be and probably still is used to relieve muscle aches by "rubbing" it on. That is where the name rubbing alcohol came from.
Isopropyl is another word for Alcohol. Rubbing alcohol is just an older term but is the samething. You can buy it in different strengths. I have before me a bottle of 70% which is a bit stronger than the regular stuff. Ask a pharmacist.
I have heard of drinking alcohol but "rubbing" is a new one to me !!!! I'm watching this space lol
Isoproply alcohol is for rubbing NOT drinking. Don't drink it because it will make you sick. Drink whisky, vodka or tequilla. But to much of those will also make you sick. :)
