Good for you; it's always so nice to accomplish something new!
I picked up some gardening gloves in the $ store and they have little those little vinyl bubbles on the palm side, they work great for moving the quilt squares without pulling or stretching them out of shape...just a hint sounds like you are about to be a full time quilter mcgraw...hugs x0x0x0x
Thankyou, but i dont know about full time as i have a lot to learn yet lol *4u
Please please come and help me lol. One wall hanging here for nearly a year to be done and I have practised and tried, but not happy(Looked at video's too). so think of taking it to someone to be done, sad it hurts my pride lol.
i had a couple of things done by a professional and decided i have to try myself, and bingo lol *4u
Great to have mastered it, we'll now wait for some nice examples in projects!
Please tell me how you did this I have tried and tried and still cannot manage! How did you learn? Sally
hi sally,
It takes a bit of practise, i thought i could not do it, and a couple of ladies said you can, you can so i was determined and i done it. practise is the answer. lol mcgraw
OK, where do I start? Have not done any quilting yet. Only did ITH projects, i.e. eye glass cases, soft toys of Mops, tissue holders, scissor cases, etc.
You have to set your machine for free motion quilting - look in your instruction booklet - in that position the feed dogs are down and you have to move the quilt (or quilt block) around with your hands, making meandering crls. There are several nice tutorials on you tube, showing how to do it.
hi mops, that is a great explanation,I was stuck how to explain, not very good at that, thankyou a *4u. cheers mcgraw
Thanks Martine, Will tackle that after the house move! Wouln't have quessed that even if I could win $1M!!
