anyone miss the way it used to be? I think we should divide the Bookmarks for personal and the business ads. It is somewhere that I rarely go to now but used to enjoy the sitea that the group members would list. It is just an idea NOT a complaint. It just is not the same as it was when it first started out. It seems quite a few Cuties concur with you. I never go there now for similar reasons.

I don't go there either. I found it too hard to find an actual bookmark. I have my own list on my computer that I add to. It's organized in my own way so I can find what I need. When Cuties inform me of a new site I add it to my list.

When I first started to explore this site and try to figure it out I thought it was funny there was a whole section for bookmarks. I was thinking that it was for actual bookmarks for books hahaha. When I looked at it I didn't go any further than the first page, honestly I do not see the purpose for it. Most of the people that "advertise" there also "advertise" in projects.
I think the site owner should start renting that space out, it seems like some people are trying to take advantage of the generousity of the site owner and trying to make a buck off of her.
I do not think if I had to pay for a website I would allow anyone to advertise anywhere on my site unless they paid a fee.

Thank you! I totally agree. There's nothing wrong with posting something from your site, but when you're using that space as free advertising, I find that just tacky and rude.

I no longer go there. Ever since someone maliciously posted a site containing a nasty virus. Of course Veronika removed it, several Cuties got it.

Thank you for mentioning this, I don't go there anymore either. It used to be a fun section.

I never go there again for the same reason: it has become a free ads coillection.

I was wondering if I was the only one that felt this way about the Bookmark's Section. I never use it anymore! You would think the space it took up could be used for something useful to the members and to Veronika. The only good I can see from it is if Veronika is able to sell the space for ads. That way it would be useful to all of us in the longrun. That might be something for Veronika to think about. Like I said, it is not a complaint just an observation. Hugs

I agree - used to go there so often but now I never go there. In the beginning I found it to be a reference to all the good sites and I've actually used it but now it has become advertising for a few sites. I only go to what I find useful. Its existence does not bother me I just don't use it anymore.

I've notice that too. It has become an ads tab. I use to run there looking for treats but now it's more like tricks. Now I only go there every now and then...oh well FIESTA ANYHOW ;D *2U

when I started to visit cute: in bookmarks were sites mentioned to find other emboidery stuff.and if a site was already mentioned there you couldn't post it another time.
Now I hardly ever go there.most of the time you see the same sites offering another design you can buy( like a free advertisement.)
I liked it more as it was in the start to see what other sites are around, or others had found.
That's why I prefer the freebietab. so people can see what sites offer their free designs in stead of advertising.

By the way, it is 2:30 AM and I am having a very hard time trying to see well enough to type. Please excuse the mistakes. I had a 12:30 Dr. appt at Wound Care, as usual, but I did not get back home until close to 11:00 PM with groceries to unload and dogs to feed and had to catch up with what I had miss here all day.
