You have a very nice "feel-good room" with lots of space and light. :)
Your room is a dream... beautiful and very bright, I see a beautiful old sewing machine ...you're lucky ....
thank you so much.. you wouldn't believe this but i got 2 of my old sewing machines from the road side garbage. I couldn't get out of the van fast enough...lol
WOW! At least you can hide stuff easily...LOL ;D *2U
Creative Clutter is better than idle neatness "smithandsmith" You should see my room. what a disaster area that is.
lol... thank you roslyn,,, it's so frusterating when i know i have something in that monster and i can't find it! Then i find other stuff and think wow this is where that is and change my mind and so that instead of what i was going to do,, I must have A.D.D. lol
Now this is nice .One thing about kids they do grow fast & time really does fly.My baby is 36 to-day & it just seemed like yesterday he was wee & in my sewing space .So be patient it will soon be you writing this email hugs Carolyn
hi noah,,, i have 4 children and my partner has 2. We have 3 left at home and i'll really miss them when they do move out but i too dream of that perfect sewing room. Have you seen the movie, failure to launch? If not you should, it is a belly busting with laughter movie. I tell my kids i'm going to run around naked so they will move out...lol
Mess? I don't think so. It's charming. I love your house and I've only seen a corner of it!
thanks sewmom... we have redone almost every corner of this big old house and i loved every minute of it, well maybe not the mice and bats and squirels...lol
Love big old victorian houses, grew up in one. Love the big windows. great house.
me too, i didn't make any big curtains. I love to see out. Up stairs we can see the bay and it's beautiful. I would love to build a deck off our bedroom.
Your sewing corner is wonderful. I like the green monster close the door and everything disappears, out of site out of mind. My fabric sits is plastic boxes on the porch and my dinning room table is my cutting and work table. My sewing machine is also in the dinning room along with my computer and printer. As soon as my college grad son moves out I will have a grand room for sewing. He is engaged but the wedding date has not been set. Lordy, Lordy make it quick!!
Cindy B.
hi Cindy B... i have used our dinning room many times too. When i'm sewing curtains or prom, or wedding party dresses it's just much easier there. I don't have a big table in my corner but it works. I still have 3 at home but i think one is almost ready to fly...lol
Cry, oh no. It looks organized and ready to use. Now mine is a mess. I am in the middle of a project and have stuff piled everywhere. But I can find what I need in spite of it. I promise it will be cleaned up when I finish this project (until I start the next one anyway).
lol... i have projects piled in that big green monster that it has swollowed up..lol One day i'll find them again. I just have to stick to one thing and stop thinking of new ideas.
i think that is my problem too! there's piles of stuff all over the shop.. ridiculous. one would think that you'd start and finish a project. not have 10 on the go!
that is so awesome! i love it! i had limited space to work with in my little ipswich-ian home in QLD. wish i had a second linen cupboard somewhere so i could put all my fabric into the one next to my sewing station, as all my fabric is in crates.
thank you boo, i seen your pic and thought wow, wish mine was that neat.It does fit alot of stuff but i really have to organize it. It is on my things to do list, if i ever stop sewing.. :)
If only I had a sewing room that nice mine is across the end of my living room would love the big green monster to put my fabrics in I have mine in plastic boxes. My living room is so small I have one loveseat in it a table a doll case and a file cabnit and my office table at least I have that and I am so thankful my house is small 2 bedrooms son has one I have the other one, Lenamae
My goodness was at sweet and organized corner - when you get a full room - you will not know what to do with all the space. This is lovely!
I do like the monster you close the door every think looks net great sewing room
thats the great thing about the monster, close the doors and it all goes away :)
Looks great to me. I might put some new paint on the green monster though.
i agree tippi, if only i could stop sewing and clean it out. I think about it alot ....lol
I like the combination of the old treadle with the modern machine (Designer??). Looks very tidy to me...
lol. thank you mops. One day i'll have that old green monster in a nice sewing room.
