What a lunch break! Cutting out 2 dresses equal a stuck finger, not enough fabric to lengthen dress or to cut the facing ;< Oh well...FIESTA ANYHOW ;D

Your facings can be different fabric. Go for it!

Look at it like this--It's an opportunity to be creative, and make something different and possibly better than you had planned. Serendipity is a good thing.

Hi mad14kt... I agree with pennifold add a border to the dress hem and use the same fabric for the facing.

At my job we have a lot of different camps, programs, classes, etc. in the community so we have a classroom setting and also a kitchen area. They are trying to get sewing also ;D *2U

I'd cheat and put on a false hem and facing or something that will blend in with the dress. Or you can always make a feature out of it! Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Love and blessings Chris

P.S. hope your finger is o.k.
