I would like to try photo stitch, any advice will be welcome. what kind of fabric and stabilizer are the best for this time of technique? Thank you.

I've done several. I embroidered on felt, on linen and on even silk (always with cutway stabilizer). I've had good results with all of them. I did several pictures to frame and the result was gorgeous.

I have had wonderful success using felt and one layer of cutaway stabilizer. I also did one on a thin sheet of balsa wood and cutaway stabilizer. Are you making a picture to frame? ****Marjorie
