It is beautiful. All the birds are migrating back up here. Ducks, Geese, Cranes and beautiful Swans. AND more snow yesterday! Can't wait for warm, sunny summer days.
GREAT picture and I love the area, you're lucky, you don't see a wall baracade out your window he he Because we have a pool in our yard, the owners errected a 'view not' barracade in the back yard and even though I live on the second floor all I see is the white barracade. I'd love to have a mural painted on it he he
Oh a magnificent photo...we are fortunate to have such beauty surrounding us.
He is a real beauty! And no wonder you won't get in the pond - did you say you have had an Alligator in there?
We have these graceful birds or similar ones here in Australia and they are gorgeous to watch.
You must have a beautiful property to have such a large pond in your "back yard". Love and blessings Chris
The place takes a lot of tending, but hubby does that. The big boy that was out there was taken down by the rangers after he attacked a boy in the lake. They usually only visit during mating season when they go from lake to lake looking for love. LOL We also get otters out there and I love to watch them, but the are greedy little guys and eat the fish. We don't fish from the pond, and don't allow barbed hooks to be used out there. Our grandkids would catch them and put them back in. Thanks.
This is wonderful - thank you for sharing it - you might have to frame this one for Ken.
WOW! Fantastic photo!
We've had them visit our pond also. However, our pond is 6 feet X 9 feet! lol!
Oh, well ours covers about 1 acre of our place. Because it is almost perfectly roun we were told that it formed from a sink hole, and not certain how deep it is. It has a very slow spring in the bottom. I won't get in it. LOL
You're very lucky to be able to enjoy this marvelous beauty of nature!...
Oh so pretty. Isn't God's creations wonderful? Well, maybe not the ground moles that make speed bumps in our yard. (SMILES) God bless, Judy
You are so priviledged. Beautiful. Please go to Projects and answer our questions re ur design.
This is realy a lovely picture, how nice to be able to see such lovely scenes from your own back yard.
well well well another 'cracker' eh? (giggle) From one Florida Cracker to another hi, we get a lot of these cranes in our back yard as well, then we find oodles of snail shells all along the banks. Which part of florida are you in?????
We are about 20 miles outside of Daytona - outside of Deltona. Do you have the Sand Hill cranes there too? They are sure tearing up the yard.
I'm abut 30 miles north of Daytona, maybe we outta meet at Joanns and have lunch! Yep I've got the same cranes, a couple gators, and these huge cool birds that squeal all nite long.....
OK - let's set up a date. Would love to meet you. I work during the days, but have vacation days I can take. We used to have peacocks, and they really make a racket too.
What a lovely photo and a lovely pond. It certainly does look beautiful and serene.
That it is. We like it, but don't really get out there much. Of course, we get the other Florida critters out there too. We had a 7' gator out there a couple years ago.
Here's the pic
