I had my grandbaby sitting in the swing watching Alice in Wonderland on my laptop while I was sewing.....All of a sudden she got cranky and smelly so I took her off to the bath tub...While I was giving her a bath, our foster child set down and started watching the rest of the movie...Being who he was, he started sticking my straight pins into a piece of wood he had....I came back into the room to find him pulling the pins out with my little pair of curved embroidery scissors.....They were bent and had great big grooves and burrs on them....I had someone try and file the burrs off and try to sharpen them, but they are lost.....Needless to say I will have to figure a way to lock up my sewing room now somehow.......Nothing is safe in my house..ugh....deanna

Somewhere deep down inside is a child who wants limits and help.
Hope things work out for you and your group. Will continue to pray for you.
Love,
Jacqueline

My goodness Deanna, what a situation - that boy sounds like one that you really have to watch out for - the key on the door might be a very good idea - I had to do that with a little girl - when I babysat her - but she wouldn't really hurt things - she just tried to make everything work - which wasn't always a good thing - little ones - big ones - they all know how to get into trouble - if we let them - so I put a lock on the door and put the key - where she couldn't reach it - you might put the key in your pocket - Hehehe! I will pray for you, dear.

He is as they say "all boy" you will have to include him in everything you do so that you can keep a close eye on that one. I had a "little brother" through BBBS program one time and he was a pistol. Started fires, stole things, broke things, too much to mention anyways I started having him follow me with everything I had to do laundry, taking the trash out, oh how he complained but I would not take no for an answer. I never told him he had to join me for every task because he could not be left alone for his own devices, I just told him I want him to first keep me company because laundry/trash is boring and 2nd so he would know when he was a man how to do these things. I am pleased to say today he is the most wonderful man I know and he stopped setting fires hahaha
I guess we just need heaps of patience when the Lord blesses us with the task of helping these wayward children. I must admit I do prefer "sistering" girls more than boys because I do not understand a lot of boy things like sports and I think that is important.

I don't think following me is a god idea...
1. he's much bigger than me...
2. he is not someone you want within arms reach of you.
3. He loves to antagonize me and try to get on my nerves, but when my hubby comes home, he runs to his room olr acts like the perfect adult figure..
4. He's 14 going on ages 2 to 7...Not suppose to have any thing that can be considered a weapon of any sorts....yeah one of those type....
